PARENT INVOLVEMENT & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

Child-Focused. Family-Centered.

At GEP, we believe that parent engagement is the cornerstone of student success. Our Child-Focused, Family-Centered approach ensures that families are active partners in their child’s academic and personal growth.

We offer a variety of meaningful opportunities for parents and caregivers to stay engaged, including:

  • Monthly parent workshops

  • Family engagement nights

  • A GEP Parent Advisory Board at each site

To strengthen the home–school connection, GEP requires all parents or caregivers to volunteer or participate in at least 10 hours each school year.

Consistent communication is also a priority. Families receive updates through text messaging, social media platforms, and monthly newsletters to ensure they remain informed, connected, and empowered.

Together, we create a supportive community where students thrive.

  • Electing board officers (Chair/Co-Chair, Secretary, Phone Tree Chair)

  • Organizing at least one community service project annually

  • Ensuring representation at site events and special activities

  • Increasing parent involvement through advocacy and outreach

  • Supporting the program through volunteerism, idea-sharing, and championing children and education

Together, our VIPs strengthen the partnership between families and GEP.
