DENISE RICE

 

Denise Harris Rice serves as the site director for the GEP site at Merry Oaks. She is a native of Statesville, N.C., and is a graduate of North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. Rice has more than 22 years of experience working with children and has completed her North Carolina administrative credentials from Central Piedmont Community College. Before returning to North Carolina, Rice worked for 15 years as a center coordinator with Partnership For Community Action Head Start in Georgia.

 

She believes children should be allowed to explore, discover and learn as they grow and develop. She also feels it is very important to help children develop the ability to make good choices.
