Eligibility Requirements and How to Apply

1. Call 704.334.8518 to verify if the street you live on is eligible for free after-school service through the City of Charlotte’s Neighborhood Development Department.
2. Complete Greater Enrichment Program’s application. A link to download the application is available on this page.
3. Provide the following documents and information:
   1. Proof of Residence – Submit a copy of your lease or utility bill. No telephone or cable bills are accepted.
   2. Proof of Income – Submit a copy of a current check stub, supplemental security income statement, child support statement or disability payments.
   3. Child’s Immunization Record
      
4. Return application and all required documents in person to:

   Charlotte, North Carolina 28216

   The GEP office is located off Beatties Ford Road between Johnson C. Smith University and Oaklawn Avenue.

All applications will be reviewed for final eligibility at the time you deliver them to the Greater Enrichment Program’s office. Please set aside at least 1 hour for application drop-off and the review process. If you are found eligible for participation in the Greater Enrichment Program, you will receive the mandatory Parent Orientation the same day.
